  | Feb. 26: Gave Lt. B. L. Smith one lesson.

  | Feb. 27: During second flight broke roller in right chain.  Replaced with new roller.  Gave instruction to Ensigns Pickings and Wood.

  | Feb. 28: Gave lessons to Ensigns Pickings, Wood and Chevalier.  Flew over measured course three times with and against the quartering wind.  Average speed for six trips was 42.3 statute miles per hour with passenger weighing 135 pounds.
