| Feb. 16: Sunday.
| Feb. 17: Third flight chain began striking right chain guide foot. Removed and filed to give clearance. Replaced Wright with Paragon propellers.
| Feb. 18: Tested engine with paragon propellers. Secured propeller speed of 490 revolutions. Machine with 12 tooth sprocket and Paragon propellers pulled and climbed better than at any previous time. Boat going to pieces slowly. Removed to repair split in side.
