| Jan. 22, 1913:  Right propeller sprocket found warped.  Filed edges of teeth that rode.

| Jan. 23, 1913:  Put on new propeller shafts and braces.

| Jan. 24, 1913:  Fitting propellers and shafts.

| Jan. 25, 1913:  Motor stopped. Found carburetter nozzle clogged.  Cleaned gasolene line.

| Jan. 26, 1913:  Sunday.

| Jan. 28, 1913:  Two rollers in left chain broke. Replaced with new links.  Left Burgess propeller flange broke. Faulty casting. Replaced entire shaft and sprocket with an old one.
