Aug. | 29: Secured Curtiss pontoon to B-1. Renewed hinge bolts & safety wires on lower plane B-1, and renewed safety wires on upper hinge bolts.
Aug. | 30: Tested and worked in motor. Overhauled all parts and wires of B-1. Repaired tool chest and B-1 tent.
Aug. | 31: General cleaning up. Made magneto cover. Finished overhauling machine B-1. 
Sept. | 1: Sunday.
Sept. | 2: Holiday.
Sept. | 3: Received Wright 6 cyl. engine from G.S.K. Made fin and secured same to forward diagonal. Making truck for B-1.
194. | Motor backed fired continuously at end of run. Intake valve broke #6 cyl., also oil guards 
Sept. | 4: Recommended building B-2. Finished locker and truck. Received 76% gas & castor oil from Gyro Co. Worked on motor.
Sept. | 5: Took out Gyro motor & shipped it to factory. Lacing up wing of B-2. Preparing Wright cyl. for block test, made crate for motor. Overhauled & vaselined wires and fittings of B-1.
