March 3rd to 19 the inclusive | } Took machine apart, put in new ribs, rebuilt planes, took engine apart; repaired crank case; overhauled engine; assembled engine; assembled aeroplane, put on new boats from Navy Dept. Connected up controls. Used spare parts when possible; made run when necessary; received help from Jus in making diagnols to boats, fittings for boats; etc. Overhauled and repaired magneto; ignition & feed system; put in new spark plugs. Repaired and overhauled tachometer Tested out engine
Mar. 9 - 11 - | Time used in saving parts and tents in strong blow and storm & resecuring tents and their contents.
16th | - When hydroaeroplane was placed in the water it was found that the stern sank 1/s" below level of water. A hydro plane was then secured to the tail; N. G; drag. 
106 | Test flight. Wire to magneto broke. The next two attempts to fly were unsuccessful with Nav. Con. H. C. Richardson as passenger. The aeroplane was unable to leave the water in that wind & with such a weight.
107 | Flight.
