[[underlined]] July 18 [[/underlined]] Reached Valley City at 3:20 A.M. & left at 7:30 on N.P. for Bismarck. Sunday. 

[[underlined]] July 19 [[/underlined]]. Spent most of the day writing reports covering the country traveled over.

[[underlined]] July 20 [[/underlined]]. Tramped over the valley below Bismarck and secured some spicimens and full notes on species.

[[underlined]] July 21 [[/underlined]]. Took 7:45 AM train for Washburn, arriving there before noon during hard rain. Worked on reports until after noon, then tramped over prairie sitting traps and taking notes.

[[underlined]] July 22 [[/underlined]]. Hired a team and drove across Missouri River and up toward Stanton, the type locality of a [[underlined]] Thonomys rufescens [[/underlined]]. Set out a line of traps and returned secured a lot of good specimens and full lists of species for west side of river.
