[[underlined]] Aug. 21 [[/underlined]], Met Henry Avare, game warden for Montana & got permits for collecting, and much information and cordial assistance.

Left Butte at 1:50 PM. via Oregon Shortline for Camas, Idaho. Busy taking notes along the way till dark at Red Rock.

Stopped at Dubois, Idaho at 10:30 PM.

[[underlined]] Aug. 22 [[/underlined]] Tramped over valley all of [[?]], getting specimens & notes. In P.M. made up specimens & wrote up notes.
[[strikethrough]] [[underlined]] Aug. 23 [[/underlined]] = Hunted and collected specimens at Dubois.
[[underlined]] Aug. 24 [[/underlined]]. Left Dubois [[/strikethrough]]

[[underlined]] Aug. 23 [[/underlined]]. Took morning train back to Dillon Mont. and in P.M. 
Drove over valley below town and got a few specimens and good notes.
[[underlined]] Aug. 24 [[/underlined]] - Hunted at Dillon till noon then took 2 PM train for Butte.
[[underlined]] Aug. 25. [[/underlined]] Left Butte on NP train for Missoula at 3 PM for Woodside and reached Cowallis by stage before dark.
[[underlined]] Sept. 26 [[/underlined]] Hunted over valley for Citellus columbianus but found none. Got bats at bridge.
