For all the instruction I received after the first hour I might just as well have gone solo at that time. But I suppose the ^[[extra]] [[strikethrough]] added [[/strikethrough]] dual time was good to the effect that it adds confidence after you get up and become used to the upper regions. I had confidence galore and I presume the only reason I'm not "scared blue" is because I am not yet initiated in injury and nerve racking spins that make you tremble. The most thrilling moment to me now is that second when you shut off the power and "nose her down". I came to that moment, pulled the throttle shut so that the engine just turned over, and threw the stick forward to plunge down to earth.
