I have lately enjoyed Mr. Wells, Donald Hankey, Robert W. Service, Basil King, ^[[the American]] Winston Churchill and a score of short stories and continued novels. I am indeed a glutton for printed lines that I find enjoyable. At time when everything seems blue I hunt for a particularly romantic love story and let my imagination run riot like every other good little bachelor in ^[[circumstances]] similar to my own. I am blessed, or cursed, with a wonderfully vivid imagination; it leads me to picture unlimited joys for myself so it is rather a blessing than a curse. When I want to make myself believe I understand the complexities of life I read serious books and agree with everything the author says, then reflect on them - and they grow
