consists of the following:- I ascended to 3500 feet directly over my hangar and did 4 figure 8's and then made a left and right hand spiral and landed upon an assigned spot in front of the hangar. But there was more to it in my flight than the above. I learned the sensation of vertical banks to greater perfection and because I lost count of the number of turns I had made I almost made myself dizzy by keeping up the good work to give full measure to the watchers below. And in the endeavor to hit the correct spot upon landing I early learned the wide amount of judgement necessary to tell the effect of wind and speed of machine after alighting. After the Instructors' came cross country, which in Texas could be developed to a much better point of perfection than we had to gain.
