orders had to be returned because they called me Raymond A. Brooks instead of Arthur R. Brooks and nearly delayed me there again. But everything got settled. I was assigned to duty with the 183rd squadron, moved into decent barracks, began to enjoy a good mess after the months of the cavern-barn of the Cadets' life; began to feel free to go into town as a respected officer instead of begging for passes as in the old days.
