find feverishly busy. This is a War you see, and I was on the lookout for quick orders from responsible officers. But the responsible officers were no where in sight so having done as much as we could Bill and I made our bother worth while and wandered about the Docks looking for a little inside information. We had passes which got us safely by all the heavily armored civilian, marine, and soldier guards. I didn't think we should have been allowed to see as much as we did because if some spy had seen the same it would have been a bad affair. But Bill Braid is no spy and I don't think I have to look askance at A.M.B.
The War seemed to be on, judging by [[strikethrough]] [[?]] [[/strikethrough]] the piers to be sure. I saw so much activity that I became reconciled again to the fact that we [[underline]] were [[/underline]] moving and that the Sabbath was just like workaday Monday or Tuesday in the Army.
