can but feebly express by saying that I fell in love with France, its' people, its edifices, its everything.

In my wanderings I noted among other things the following scrap details. Someday I hope to return to Paris, with a bride perhaps, and bask in the warmth of the beauty of both... [[strikethrough]] illegible [[/strikethrough]]

The architecture fascinated me, the sidewalk cafes contented me, the women (many of whom were [[underline]] not [[/underline]] dressed in black - on the main boulevards and in the cabarets, that is) were good to look upon, and, well, here I wander:-

The wonderful, wonderful architecture, figures, gargoyles, reliefs in beautious presentation.

The "places" - fountains and walks.

The "metro" - a mighty good subway (also the connecting line of "nord and Sud") Fast, convenient, much better than ever the "tubes" of London could be. 

The cheap taxis - that is, in the day-time when they were not holding the whip. The taxis themselves
