I also learned of the 91st squadron's trips far into Germany on observation [[turns?]]. Lt. Roper and Capt. Wallis are with this outfit and are now but a short gliding distance from our aerodrome so I should see these college mates of mine more often than the chance meetings of Paris afforded. They have been doing great work up here = without any protection from chase planes for some period. We'll probably work a great deal in conjunctions.
[[Men?]] from the 13th are also appearing. After we returned to our tile floors and other palace luxuries we had a reminiscence fest over a can of salmon, sardines, toast, and beer. Lts. Putnam, Stovall (13th), sumner, and Burke had a talk-party galore before returninig into the blankets feet first and worming into the sleeping bag.
