At noon Lieut Hirst and I went to Toul for a good meal at the Hotel [[Cavedie?]] - filet mighon, Louis Roederer tres sec, and all that went with this [[strikethrough]] feast [[/strikethrough]] start; my! but those French [[underline]] do [[/underline]] know how to cook!
Afterwards having an hour to kill we wandered over to the officers' club and then I went to the public gardens and the Cathedral. No need to offer much comment on either - artistically perfect and beautiful to gaze into and upon. These Cathedral are remarkable in every way
