Dud weather and nothing to report except a trip to Toul twice through the day. The first one to get supplies from the American Red Cross who generously (and who in turn are generously served by those at home) [[strikethrough]] donates [[/strikethrough]] donate magazine wicker furniture and homely comforts. We have received very fine treatment from Mr. [[Warmrath?]], the representative at Toul.
The second trip was in the event of [[strikethrough]] Major [[/strikethrough]] Brigadier General [[Fowler's?]] ball at his luxurious and tasteful house in Toul. All officers were present from nearby camps and dancing was therefor restricted to a mighty few. Good Champagne was very evident in the punch and before 3:00 A.M. those remaining at the party
