Preparations for the coming drive in this sector still go on with full stride. A number of the crack French Pursuit Squadrons have come up and the English are setting up new aerodromes as fast as the Americans.
Our orders change continually. It seems, however, that the sector must now be narrowed down enough for our group. The latest word is from Seichprey- where the first American [[strikethrough]]  [[battle?]] [[/strikethrough]] ^[[affair]] of account was staged after we took over the sector- to a little town some ten kilometers East of Port-à-Mousson.
Our Mission everyday at present is to make a safe area for six [[strikethrough]][[?]][[/strikethrough]] miles behind the enemy lines for the operation of our observation and photography planes. We also go back some 10 miles as protection mission
