24th Monday.

Sun out in spasms. Slept all morning after yesterdays full day.

Sent telegrammes (for money - how it goes!) wrote letter and cards, loafed about considerably.

Mr & Mrs. Edward Tuck, with the Red + have a very excellent club on the main promenade of the waterfront. And tea was served with just that difference between the Red + and the Y.M.C.A. At the Y.M. it costs small and nominal charges 'tis true, but there it is, just the same, while the Cross Rouge quarters are comfortable in the extreme, the magazines are up to the minute, the tea is poured by interesting ladies who are gay and cordial. The attitude of the personnel is so different in these two societies that it has been evident ever since I've been over. Give to the Red Cross above all others!
