Dear Mrs. Borden:

Referring to your inquiry as to a valuation for Pierre Bourdelle's great "Eagle" intagliated in plastic, the following will confirm my telephone conversation with you of this morning:

We know the piece well, having had it on consignement for sale from the artist, Pierre Bourdelle, a few years ago.

Considering 1) the originality and unique character of the work of art (we have not seen anything similar) 2) the reputation enjoyed by Pierre Bourdelle and 3) the many hours it would have taken even so experienced a man in his field, to carry out the monumental carved and painted Eagle, Mr. Seligman feels a valuation of Eighteen Hundred dollars ($1800.-) would be well within reason.

Yours very sincerely

Mrs. D. T. Parker
