Dear Miss Bradlee:

I have often heard of the very fine Daumier drawings which you own and, as a matter of fact, Mr. Horace D. Chapin whom I had the pleasure of knowing, spoke quite highly of them. This is why I am taking the liberty of sending you these few lines to ask if you would give me the privilege of viewing these drawings.

As I plan to be in Boston the very beginning of next week, I shall avail myself of this opportunity to telephone you with the hope that it will be convenient for you to receive me.

Looking very much forward to the pleasure of meeting you, and with anticipated thanks,

Please believe me to be

Yours respectfully,

(C. M. de Hauke)
