October 5, 1977

Dear Mr. Branam,

It was pleasant to receive your nice letter of September 28th expressing the desire to examine our drawing by J.B. Corneille.

We will be glad to show it to you if you allow us a little time. Some of the works of art which were put away during our summer absence have not yet been returned, however, I assume that we whould be able to get together towards the end of the month, after the middle of October.

Were this convenient, I would suggest that you call wither Mrs. Seligman or me to make an appointment to meet at our apartment.

I can well understand that, visiting Mr. Herbert Straus, her collection should have been a great inspiration indeed. You have probably heard that this exceptional lady, and dear friend of ours, has just passed away.

Yours sincerely,

Germain Seligman
