My dear Mr. Church:

Until the collapse of France I was at the head of our Paris branch, and this being my first visit to the States, I am anxious to see all the interesting collections.

I have heard of your interest in art, and I am wondering if you would allow me to take advantage of my trip to Hartford to call on you and see your paintings.

I will be in your city the afternoon of Friday the 27th, and all day Saturday, and very much hope you will have a moment to spare for me.

With anticipated thanks for your reply, and looking forward to the pleasure of meeting you,

Very sincerely yours,

(Georges E. Seligmann)
