[[strikethrough]] Mr. [[/strikethrough]] ^[[S.]] CHURCH, ^[[Esq]]
President of the Carnegie Institute,
[[underline]] PITTSBURGH [[/underline]], Pa.,
U.S.A.

Dear Mr. Church,

I received your very kind invitation for the reception to be held on the occasion of the thirtieth Annual Celebration of Founder's Day, which was forwarded to me at Paris.

I am ever so sorry not to be able to be present this year : I had such a pleasant time last year and enjoyed so much seeing your very fine exhibition.

I hope you will be coming to Paris later in the season so as to give me the pleasure of seeing you here again.

Will you kindly remember me to Mrs. and Miss Church and believe me.

With best regards,

Yours very sincerely,
