Dear Sir:

When I was in Minneapolis last week at the invitation of Mr. Plimpton to see the exhibition of old masters, I noticed the very fine REMBRANDT which you had lent for that exhibition.

Now, it just occurs to me that I do not think we have ever had the pleasure of your visit in our galleries, and I am, therefore, writing you these few lines to ask you if the next time you came to New York you could find time to call in here, as I should like to show you through our galleries. We have recently brought over a very important group of paintings and other works of art which, under any circumstances, I feel sure you would be interested to see.

You probably know our main establishment in Paris, the Ancien Palais de Sagan, of which I am taking the liberty of enclosing you a pamphlet which fully describes and illustrates it.

Looking forward, therefore, to the pleasure of your visit in the near future, believe me to be

Yours very truly,
