Mr. Germain Seligmann
Jacques Seligmann & Company, Inc.
3 East 51st Street
New York, N. Y.

Dear Mr. Seligmann:

Edward M. M. Warburg is known to art dealers as a lover and connoisseur of art. Mr. Warburg is also known to art dealers as an indefatigable and irresistible worker for communal causes, both in art and in philanthropy.

Mr. Warburg again is about to participate in the annual drive of the Federation of Jewish Charities. In the ordinary course of events many of us may expect a visit from him - and a request that practically all of us will grant, according to our means.

A few of us have been thinking about it, and we came to the conclusion that we would turn the tables on Mr. Warburg and invite [[underlined]] him [[/underlined]] to luncheon. There he could speak to all of us about Federation, and at the same time we could pay him tribute for his efforts and accomplishments on behalf of the community.

We have arranged a luncheon for [[pencil underlined]] Friday, October 20th, at 12:30 p.m. [[/pencil underlined]] at the [[pencil underlined]] Savoy-Plaza, [[/pencil underlined]] and I know that you will want to be present. Will you please return the enclosed card so that I may make a reservation for you.

Sincerely,
