Hon. John A. Harris ^[[S]]
140 Riverside Drive
New York

Dear Mr. Harris,-

I suppose you read in the papers that my uncle, with whom I was in business, died shortly after my arrival in New York, which compelled me to go back to Paris.

I have just returned and hope that this time, you will give me the pleasure of seeing what you too modestly refused to call "your beautiful home". You told me that you were very fond of Italian art. I have been fortunate enough to find pieces which I would be glad to show you if you could spare a few moments to drop in some afternoon.

Hoping to hear from you in the near future, pray believe me,

Very sincerely yours,
