My dear Mr. Harrison:

I have often heard of the group of paintings and drawings by Toulouse-Lautrec which you own and I am writing to inquire whether I may have the privilege of calling on you and seeing your collection when I am next in your city.

Furthermore, may I inquire whether you would be interested in adding to them, as I have been fortunate enough to secure a number of paintings and drawings by artists such as RENOIR, VAN GOGH, TOULOUSE LAUTREC, CEZANNE, PICASSO, etc.

Yours very sincerely,

(Capt. Germain Séligmann)
