November 4th, 1935.

Dear Fred:

As usual I have returned a little while ago from Europe, and am wondering whether I shall have the pleasure of seeing Bettie and you in New York shortly. When last I saw you, it was in your hospitable home in Kansas City, and Bettie was in California recuperating. I do hope that by now, she has regained all her strength, and is quite herself again.

I trust that as far as you are concerned, you have kept fit by flying and playing polo.

Upon my return, I was glad to notice a complete change in people's attitude reflecting a general improvement throughout the country. I suppose that Kansas City has profited by it too.

Do let me hear from you, and with my kindest thoughts to Bettie and you, I am

Yours most sincerely,

(Germain Séligmann)
