My dear Doctor Nef,

Upon my return to PAris a few days ago, I found your very nice letter with the introduction to Mr. Reinhardt for which I hasten to express my deep appreciation.

I was very sorry indeed that no opportunity availed itself to meet one another. I once heard through Louis Suter that you had arrived in Switzerland, and next, I Learnt that you had already left for the States.

Regarding you very delightful introduction to Mr. Reinhardt, I donot know whteher I will be able to go to Switzerland before my departure for America at the end of the month. However, upon my return to New-York, I shall not fail calling on you, and then I shall be able to tell you more about it.

I hope you and Mrs. Nef enjoyed a very pleasant Summer and looking forward to seeing you a few weeks hence.

Believe me to be, with kindest regards,

Most faithfully,
 (R. Hans Waegen)

Consul General Doctor Victor NEF,
468 Fourth Avenue,
NEW YORK
