November 20th, 1937

Dear Mrs. Newbald:

I wish to apologize for being so negligent in writing to you so late, but we all have been so completely absorbed with the attendance at our Picasso Exhibition that I did not have a minute at my desk.

Now that the exhibition is nearing its end, my thoughts wander towards your great city of Brotherly Love which I am so anxious to develop a little more for our galleries.

I spoke to Nyan a couple of days ago, who told me that she had spoken to you while she was in Philadelphia. I am now completely at your disposal along the lines we discussed the other day during luncheon, and should you have anything in mind, I would love to come to Philadelphia any day the week after Thanksgiving. On that occasion I would like very much to have a more thorough talk with you.

I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed meeting you the other day with Nyan, and I only regret that I was so rushed that day and was unable to spend a little more time with you.
