Gentlemen:

I felt you would be interested in knowing about a comprehensive promotion plan that the American has prepared as its contribution to the work of making this Christmas as big a selling season as ever.

On the theme, "It's Christmas Time in New York," we have ready a decidedly effective series of advertisements which will be published in the American daily and Sunday, starting Sunday, November 20th, and continuing every day until Christmas.

In addition to these pages and quarter pages, we have planned to promote Christmas shopping by a tie-up over our radio and other types of promotion that will , we think, prove effective in supplementing the power of the American's large circulation.

Altogether, we sincerely believe that this propaganda of ours will react to your benefit in increasing sales and profits. It is in a way a Christmas present in Advance from the American to its good friends, the retailers.

Cordially yours,
^[[Eugene Forker]]
