My dear Mr. Page:

Your name has often been mentioned as a collector of manuscripts of great beauty.

I am therefore taking the liberty of calling your attention to the superb group from

THE BIBLIOTHEQUE OF THE DUKES D'ARENBERG,

which I have for sale at my gallery.

This great collection, one of the oldest in Europe, consists of manuscripts from the 11th to the 16th century.

In connection with the exhibition of these rare books organized in my gallery a few months ago, my firm published a deluxe catalogue with reproductions, established by Professor Meyer Schapiro of Columbia University whose name is certainly well known to you.

In view of the great interest stirred up by this exhibition it would be easy for you to obtain further information as to the quality and importance of these manuscripts from leading experts in this field, or from the Morgan Library for instance.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Yours very sincerely,

(Germain Seligman)
