Dear Billy:

It certainly was good to get a glimpse of you the other day at the Baroque and to see you in such marvelous form. I hope you thoroughly enjoyed your trip to South America which I understand was a huge success.

Today these few lines in recollection of your visit last spring and our conversation regarding your friend Mr. Billy Rose. I remember your telling me that you thought you could interest Mr. Rose in a picture with pastel shades and lots of bright blues.

We just purchased a simply beautiful Sisley that I think answers all the questions. Won't you stop in here one day when in the neighborhood and take a peek at it -- or even better, let's lunch together one day soon before the season is in swing and exchange ideas. I have taken a small but charming apartment on East 54th Street which I also want you to see, so let me hear from you.

In the meanwhile, good wishes and kindest regards,

As always,

(R. H. Waegen)
