November 26, 1930.

Dear Mrs. Rosenbaum,

It was a great pleasure for me to meet you last Monday night at Mrs. Bernheim's, and I have not forgotten our conversation during dunner and your enthusiasm for Modigliani.

Inasmuch as you expressed the wish to know a little bit more about this gifted artist, I am sending you with these lines a catalog of an exhibition of works by Modigliani, which we held last year, in which you also will find a description of Modigliani's life, etc.

May I only ask you to return the catalog to us when you are through reading it, as this is the only copy we have in our library.

Should you ever feel inclined to see some of Modigliani originals, I would be delighted to have you come in here at the Galleries one afternoon and it will then give me great pleasure to welcome you here and show you a few fine specimens of this master.

Looking forward to the opportunity of seeing you again, I meanwhile remain, dear Mrs. Rosenbaum, with my kindest regards,

Faithfully yours,

(R. H. Waegen)
