We had the visit of [[underline]]Mr. Arthur M. Rosenbloom[[/underline]], 521 Union Trust Building, Pittsburgh. Young man about 30, who seems very comfortably off, who already owns 4 or 5 small paintings, including 2 very small Greco which he bought from Sperling in New York.

Came in because he admired our René du Puy du Fou at the Exposition. Asked the price : Frs 90.000.

Would like the picture shown to him in New York when the exhibition is over.

Was very much impressed by our Catena which is beyond his means, according to what he says. I told him that the picture belonged to one of our clients who might consider an offer of 14 or 15.000 $; that the value was 20.000 $ and that we were trying to buy it ourselves.

I dined yesterday with Mrs Charles Crocker, who has a landscape by Renoir she would like to sell, and which she might give us this fall. The picture is now at Knoedler's.

Her address in New York is May Fair House.
