Dear Dr. Spingarn,

The druggist advises me that in order to renew the enclosed perscription which you will realize is a [[underlined]]very[[/underlined]] old one from Dr. w. Rieser who has been dead for a great many years, it should be endorsed by my present physician.

[[strikethrough]]Thus, I would be greatly obliged to you if you were so good as to return the enclosed with your signature.[[/strikethrough]]^[[*]]

As you might wish to keep a copy or the perscription I am also including the photostat.

Thanking you in advance,

Sincerely yours,

Germain Seligman

^[[*]] I hope it will not be an imposition to ask you to copy it on one of your perscription forms, with the current date, forwarding it to me and returning the original.
