Dear Sirs: Pursuant to our telephone call to your office this afternoon, we are giving you herebelow a list of PICASSO plates belonging to us, which we would appreciate your delivering to the MUSEUM OF MODERN ART (11 East 53rd. Street), addressed to the attention of Mr. Monroe Wheeler - From the catalogue entitled "PICASSO, 'Blue' and 'Rose' Periods 1901-1906" which you printed for us in the fall of 1936: No.3 - Harlequin Propped on Elbow No.4- Early Morning No.9-Elegie No.15-The Old Guitar Player No.17-Woman with a Crow No.19-Blue Boy No.16-Woman with a Helmet of Hair No.22-Woman Dressing with Harlequin and Child No.27-Nude No.31-The Woman with the Loaves No.21-Lady with a Fan. From the catalogue entitled "20 Years in the Evolution of Picasso - 1903-1923" which you printed for us in the fall of 1937: No.2 - Le Meneur de Cheval No.7 - Femme aux Poires. It is understood that when the Museum of Modern Art will have used these plates for their forthcoming catalogue, they are to be returned to you for safe-keeping, for us. t.s.v.p..............
