Paris, August 16th 1929.

Dear Mr. Spitzer:-

Hearing that you are in Paris, I take the liberty of writing you these few lines, to ask whether Mrs. Spitzer and yourself will have time some afternoon to call in at our main galleries, the Ancien Palais de Sagan, 57, rue Saint-Dominique, to look over our collection of works of art.

We have just purchased several very fine 18th century paintings, including a very rare Romney and one of the most beautiful portraits by Lawrence that have come on the market for many years.

No doubt, you know our firm by reputation as we have had a branch in New York over 30 years, and besides having been the advisers to the late Mr. Pierpont Mrogan, and having been instrumental in bringing together the greatest part of his collection, we are likewise represented in most of the other important collections in the United States and in practically the majority of museums.

We are seldom here in the morning except by appointment, but hoping to have the pleasure of seeing you some afternoon,

Believe us to be

Yours truly
