Dear Mr. Spitzer

As I wrote Mr. Godwin, I was extremely disappointed that I could not get to your city for the Opening of the completed Museum, but I am postponing that pleasure for some near future date.

By the bye, as I do not think you have ever seen our New York galleries, I am taking the liberty of suggesting that the next time you come to New York you come in and see us, because we have recently acquired a number of very interesting things which I am sure you would like to see.

Our latest acquistion is a group of paintings of the English 18th century, including a wonderful portrait by LAWRENCE, a very fine RAEBURN, and one of the finest men's portraits by GAINSBOROUGH in existence.

I am, therefore, looking forward to the pleasure of seeing you again some time during this season. In the meanwhile,

Believe me to be

Yours sincerely,

(Clyfford Trevor)
