October 10, 1949

Dear Professor Spitzer:

Your very courteous lines of October 7, reached me this morning and I hasten to thank you for your kind interest.

I am sorry of course that your answer should be so vague, as you describe it yourself, but I know, alas, from experience that aesthetic problems are not always easily solved.

Trusting I may have in the near future an opportunity of meeting you, and thanking you in person,

Yours very sincerely,

(Germain Seligman)
