PAINTINGS AND
WORKS OF ART [[/preprinted]]

November 3rd., 1937.

My dear Mr. Trees:

Your interest in early paintings has often been mentioned to me and I am therefore taking the liberty of calling to your attention two extremely important primitives which we have just purchased.

One is a very large Italian painting of the Sienese School, executed around 1360. The other is a French Primitive, painted around 1470. They are both extremely fine quality and in a remarkable state of preservation, and are worthy of any collection. They are reasonably priced and I would gladly send you further particulars if you would care to have them - about either, or both.

Looking forward to hearing from you, I am,
Very truly yours,

Thank you for calling my attention to the above referred to pictures. I have a very nice French primitive and am not in position to use the large Italian painting referred to.
