My dear Mr. and Mrs. Tromaine:

I have often heard of your collection, comprising of among others, paintings by Braque, Picasso, and Gris, and it would afford me the utmost pleasure would you permit me to visit you.

You no doubt know of the active part of our firm has taken in making known the work of these artists; as for instance, the first comprehensive exhibit of Juan Gris was held at our galleries in 1938.

I am taking the liberty of sending you, under separate cover, the catalog of the exhibition #1910-12, The Climatic Years in Cubism" which took place last year in our gallery, and trust you will be interested in perusing it.

Thanking you beforehand for your answer,

Sincerely yours,

(Georges E. Seligmann)
