Dear Mrs. Levitt:

Your so very nice lines of January 13 have just reached me and I wish to confirm to you that I am happy to lend the Gustave MOREAU painting - "Orphee", to the Trinity School for their exhibition of 19th Century Romantic Painting.

In accordance with your request, by same mail, I am forwarding the lender's sheet to Mrs. Leighton.

I have noted that the painting will be fully insured by your organization - from wall to wall; that James Lebron will call for it in the morning of February 5 and that it will be returned to my galleries on March 5 - may I ask you to be good enough to [[underlined]]request him to take special care of the very delicate frame[[/underlined]].

Your wish to have an English translation of the title on the lender's sheet has been carried out: "Orpheus". Namely, after checking^ with the Louvre Museum catalogue, I noticed that they call their large version but "Orphee", thus applying the same wording to ours would simplify matters by suppressing the subtitle.

It was a pleasure indeed to have had the opportunity to seeing you again in the company of Mrs. Leighton and may I express my sincerest wishes for the success of your undertaking.

Yours very sincerely,

Germain Seligmann
