My dear Mr. Tripp:

As you no doubt know, my firm has been entrusted with the sale of the celebrated Clarence H. MACKAY collection (the latter was formerly President of the Commercial Cable Co.) which is now on exhibition at these galleries.

Included in it are bronzes and sculpture of the Gothic and Renaissance periods which I wish particularly to call to your attention. In addition, there is the famous set of Chaumont tapestries, of the XVth. Century, as well as the important ensemble of suits of armor and weapons, etc.

I would be pleased to send you photographs with descriptions if you were just to let me know the particular field which interests you - or, if you are planning to be in New York you would, naturally, find a personal visit more satisfactory.

Yours very sincerely,

(Germain Séligmann)
