Dear Mr. Trumbauer,

Although I have not had the pleasure of seeing you since I called at your office last Spring I am writing you these few lines to tell you that we have recently brought back from Paris a very fine group of 18th Century French and English paintings, including a superb pair of paintings by HUBERT ROBERT and likewise one of the most important examples of Sir Thomas LAWRENCE that has ever come to this country.

The next time you come to New York, I hope you will have a little time to spare to come in and see these things.

Hoping, therefore, to have the pleasure of hearing from you shortly,

Believe me to be

Yours sincerely,

(Clyfford Trevor)
