FRANK D. VEILLER AND J.L. ROBERTSON
REAL ESTATE 10 EAST 47TH STREET
MURRAY HILL 475 [[/preprinted]]

Nov. 16, 1923.

Mr. W. Jucker,
Jacques Seligmann & Co.,
705 Fifth Avenue,
New York.

My dear Mr. Jucker:-

Mr. Cassell who showed us the premises 12 E. 53rd Street on Wednesday (this is the large house) telephoned me late this afternoon and stated that the parties who had been looking at this property and were interested in the purchase of same communicated with him saying that they expected to close with him on Tuesday of next week.

You will recall that I had asked him to notify us in case of any negotiations for this property being liable to come to a head, so that we might have a chance to act. Owing to these conditions, do you not think it would be advisable to cable Mr. Seligmann for authority to either buy or lease this property, if you want it, as it looks as though it would be sold long before his arrival here.

I am going to be out of town to-morrow, but you can get in touch with me early Monday morning, which will give you time to cable and receive an answer, if you deem it advisable to take such action.
Very truly yours,
