Geneva, Switzerland

Gentlemen:

You received today from Mr. M. Sciolette, a marble statue measuring approximately three feet, which I have acquired from him and which is to be shipped to my galleries in New York, address as above, at your earliest convenience.

This work of art, as you will notice, is in a remarkable state of preservation, in fact, intact, and in accordance with the special provisions of my insurance company, it is to be packed in a double case in the most careful and efficient manner and to be shipped by air to New York. The statue is thus insured by my firm and you need not take further coverage. However, will you please indicate to the carrier a value sufficiently high to cause them to be particularly careful and to handle it as the fragile object which it is.

I expect you to draw up the necessary papers for its export from Switzerland and importation into the United States, which documents I would be obliged to you for sending to

Yours very sincerely,
