Work which may be mentioned under this heading was performed during October as follows:-

In the West basement the larger [[underline]] Corvidæ [[/underline]] and the remainder of the [[underline]] Columbidæ [[/underline]] were rearranged. These specimens had been stored in unit tables in the Fish Corridor. The drawers from which they were taken will be utilized for storing the smaller duplicate wading birds, which have been brought over from storage room [[strikethrough]] for [[/strikethrough]] in the Museum for systematic rearrangement in these drawers. Much other work of like character has been done in the west basement. It has been found impossible as yet to commence regular operations on the contemplated work on the birds of North and Middle America, owing to the
