much more luxurious.  Wonderful lot of furniture, drawers, silverware here.  2 maids cook & wait on table and do not know what other help on buildings and grounds.  They left Casa Grande, similarly situated, in Venezuela because of Ven. politics made their tenure of the government built laboratory, so they scouted around for a place of same type and found it here and bought it in the name of N.Y. Zool. Soc.  Miss Kennedy is study insects attracted to decaying vegetation, hang up an herbaceous plant in tree, and see what comes.  Has discovered a moth that looks superficially like a wasp – a very remarkable case of mimicry.  Its all interesting, and outdoors work at most favorable time of year, but my question is, What do all these creatures do in unfavorable times of year?  Too many more or less popular naturalists only get half the story, also scientists (ecologists) all too often.

We stayed all of 4 hours.  Although we didn't know it before.  This day was the acceptance or dedication of that [[?very]] large Alcoa cage.  A vice president a Mr Bell was down from N.Y. and Capt. M. Han Miles whom Trauth in Washington told me to see down here if I needed help as we did for hotel rooms were there with wife of still another official (Hutch) Meyier. We got back to hotel for supper, & as we were starting to bed sort of early we were tired.
