very beautiful [[?Altls]] shrimp - not new [[?]] comparatively good in collection, all in all very fruitful collection here.

As far as public conveniences go the people use shore & sea wall [[?]] everywhere except east main landing within the customs house fence;  where we landed in front of Questal establishment ([[?find]] place) one could hardly step ashore;  reminded me of [[?Teracand]] lots in Ecuador where it was not safe to take a short cut.

Also when we were looking for a doll for Clarke we stopped in a bookstore to buy a dime (didn't realize it but I got an old number I though read).  I saw a man buying a Dime too so I spoke to him.  A Dutch sugar colonist working here who took us to just the type of store we were looking for.  Th. Lamers is his name.  So much for the day.
